A Day in the Rennaisance
at the Sterling Renaissance Fair it takes little more than a spark of imagination to slide into another self… Though a few glasses of mead will also help ease the transformation. Turkey legs were devoured with abandon, swords clashed with gusto, and laughter carried throughout the bustling little village. I left feeling envious of the free-spirited, gregarious characters we encountered throughout the day. There’s something noticeable about how uninhibited we become when hidden under costume, compared to the restraint we often carry in our daily lives. It seems only in play do we remember how boundless we might be.
